While our industry has been through an unprecedented churn last year, it has also seen meteoric growth in the number of establishments and people entering the space over the last decade. With this upward trajectory, there remains a need for more structured development and personal growth to foster an industry that strives for excellence.

Many people attribute part of their professional development to the guidance of a patient mentor who challenged them to think differently and opened their eyes and mind to different perspectives. While each of us develops at our own pace, this type of influence can have many positive and lasting effects.

Mentors

Expectation
To mentor an underserved member of the restaurant and F&B community, outside of your own organization, and make a meaningful impact in their professional journey. 

Qualification
Professionals from the Restaurant / F&B industry, with at least 10 years of experience, who are in a senior management/leadership position or are entrepreneurs. Mentors can be residing in any part of the world. 

Time commitment
In person / online meeting for 1 hour per month for 6 months. Any additional time spent with the mentee during or post the 6 month period, is at the discretion of the mentor.

Prior experience of mentoring is not required but would be useful, as all mentors will go through a 1 hour induction program.

There will also be a check-in by the GLEAM team with the mentor three months after the mentoring has started. There will be a feedback form to complete after the six months are over and a debrief given to the GLEAM India team.

 

Mentees

Qualification

Those who are pursuing a career in F&B or standalone restaurants or looking to set up or have set up an F&B business (including cloud kitchens, stand alone restaurants, chain restaurants in all segments of the foodservice industry).

You should be in a role which is looking after more than one unit / outlet or in a functional role including marketing, supply chain, training, HR, business development and others. Entrepreneurs are welcome.

1 hour per month for 6 months. Any additional time spent with the mentor during or post the 6 month period is at the discretion of the mentee and mentor.
All mentees will go through a 1 hour induction program.
